Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount plans to begin significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.
Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm intending to disclose all specifics during its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated the company aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.
The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
